Poster & programme design

Gardenia Choir is an ensemble of all female choir from Syria. In 31 March 2018, the choir performed “Bridal Folk Songs”, a series of chants that highlight the wedding traditions in the different cities in Syria.

The aim of the concert was to ensure that these songs are kept alive and are well celebrated.

Gardenia Choir chose this year’s theme to highlight the issue of early marriage that has been on the rise in the Syrian community inside the country and in the refugee communities around the world.

“Bridal Folk Songs” is part of the framework of the “Emergency Safeguarding of the Syrian Cultural Heritage” project funded by the European Union.
