Decks on the Beach
Logo & Identity
Decks On the Beach is a yearly summer music festival held at the breathtaking Sporting Club, Beirut. It is also a celebration of the 70s in Beirut, when coolness was at its peak and when hair was not an issue.
It's a tribute to what we love about summer in Beirut: freedom, hedonism, sun, sweat and weird dance moves. The name and the logo are a playful tongue-in-cheek homage to the typography and the visual language of 70's golden age porno-chic flicks (think: Deep Throat, Behind the Green Door, The Devil in Miss Jones, etc).
Almost 10 years after the launch, the logo saw a refresh to a simplified and stripped form - making it versatile in implementation while retaining its iconic retro look.
